What is Monkey Menorca Jiu-Jitsu?
Monkey Menorca Jiu-Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club where we teach much more than a sport. In a friendly environment, we share values such as respect, discipline and personal growth, helping every student develop on and off the mat.

Hygiene and safety
We take care of the mat
Jiu-Jitsu is a contact sport. Training clean and without visible risks is a sign of respect for your teammates and helps everyone enjoy a safe practice.
- Clean gi or training clothes
- Short fingernails and toenails
- No open wounds or skin infections
- Do not train with fever, viruses or contagious symptoms
- No piercings, jewellery, watches or accessories
- Flip-flops off the mat and clean feet before stepping on

How to start
Simply message us and come along for a free trial class. We will tell you when to come and what to bring.

Tell us you would like to try a class. Booking is not required, but we recommend letting us know before coming.
Come and try it
Bring clean clothes, flip-flops, short nails and no open wounds or contagious symptoms. The trial class is free and comes with no commitment.
Current schedule
Classes run from 08:00 to 09:00 and from 14:00 to 15:00. Open Mat is on Saturday from 14:00 to 15:00.

01Can I start with no experience?
Yes. No previous experience is required: you can start from scratch.
02Is there a minimum age?
There is no set minimum age. Groups are organised by level.
03Do I need to be fit?
No. The aim is for anyone to take the first step with confidence in a friendly, safe and welcoming environment.
04What should I wear?
Bring flip-flops, clean training clothes and arrive clean, with short nails, no open wounds, contagious symptoms, piercings, jewellery or accessories.
05Can I try a class?
Yes. The trial class is free and comes with no conditions.
06How much does it cost?
Prices are not published online. Contact us by WhatsApp or phone for information.
07Do I need to buy a gi?
Loan equipment for the first class depends on availability. Ask us before coming.
08Are there classes for children?
Monkey Menorca Jiu-Jitsu welcomes children and teenagers. Groups are organised by level.
09Are there classes for women?
Yes. The gym is open to everyone and aims to make Jiu-Jitsu accessible to all.
10Can I train while on holiday?
Yes. Visitors and tourists are among the people the gym welcomes.
